These are some of the pencil drawings I have done previously before studying in Temasek Polytechnic and in the Art Elective Programme.
THE DESCRIPTION:
As can be seen, I do quite enjoy drawing portraits of people, especially those close to me. I feel like that is one of the best gifts that one can gift a loved one. I also have a huge love for drawing hair. Yes, like hair-hair. There is just something about sitting down for hours and dedicating that time to slowly add minute strokes and shades. I enjoy the shading that I can do and see how each stroke and shade transforms the drawing. Because it is significantly harder to make the drawing look like the actual person, it does take a long while, not that I am complaining though.

THE DESCRIPTION:
Ink is always my go-to medium to use because it is so convenient and easy to just whip out a pen and start drawing on the spot. I love the freedom that gives me.

2014
These are some of the colour pencil drawings I have done while studying in Temasek Polytechnic and in the Art Elective Programme.
THE DESCRIPTION:
My favourite medium would have to be colour pencil (and water colour together!) I am able to make the drawing as detailed and as saturated with colour as possible. I love how the colours that come out from the pencils onto the paper are do bright and vibrant (I have always had a thing for vibrant colours). It has not always been easy with colour pencils though. Back when I first started out in art, I hated colour pencils. I found it hard to blend the colours together and almost gave up using the medium altogether. The perfectionist streak in me would not give me a break and I hated it when I did not achieve the effect I wanted. So, I did what I did best– being a stubborn mule and colouring every single day. I bought a small sketchbook and coloured whenever I can. So I mean, I think that is the key to success? Never giving up.

These are some of the paintings I have done previously while studying in Temasek Polytechnic and in the Art Elective Programme.
THE DESCRIPTION:
It had been a while since I painted a full painting. Thus, one day during my long Polytechnic holiday, I decided to whip out the old paintbrushes and paint. After 3 weeks, Family at the Beach was born. I felt it again then– the love for painting. The confidence I had in each stroke, the feel of the paintbrush brushing against the canvas. I looked for my old paintings then, and realized how much I had improved through the years. I kept thinking that at that moment, I was the best painter I could be ever, not realizing that I had so much to learn, and so much to grow. So here, see the progress I have made for yourself!
